Terms of service

Last updated 17 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Sansa Group AB for using Cove. We've tried to keep them short and plain. By creating an account, you agree to them.

1. Your account

You need to be at least 13, or older where your country requires it. Keep your devices, passkeys and recovery kit safe: because your content is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot recover it for you if you lose every device and your recovery kit and trusted contacts can't help.

You're responsible for what happens in your account and for the people you invite.

2. Your content

You own what you share. You give us only the permission we need to store and deliver it, in encrypted form, to the people you choose. We can't see it, and we don't use it for anything else.

3. Using Cove fairly

You agree to follow our acceptable use policy. Don't use Cove to harm others, to break the law, or to disrupt the service.

4. Plans and payments

Cove's free plan is free. When paid plans launch, prices and limits will be shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time; consumer rights such as the EU right of withdrawal apply. Payments are taken by the app stores or by Stripe as seller of record.

If you go over your storage limit, you can keep what you have but may not be able to add more until you free space.

5. The beta

Cove is in private beta. Features may change, and things may occasionally break. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose; you can download originals at any time.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the acceptable use policy, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

7. Liability

We provide Cove with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for content that people share with you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law where you live and can bring a claim there. Questions? Write to support@covespaces.my.
